Turk and Gubbins are my main tracking dogs. Turk is mostly catahoula with a splash of dogo, I raised him from a pup off of two of my original hog dogs. Gubbins is a registered catahoula I also raised. The catahoula is a versatile hunting and stock dog with remarkable instincts for finding and holding game. Turk has a slow, methodical tracking style whereas Gubbins has a faster rangier style and excels on live wounded game.

Turk and Gubbins loaded up and ready to go to work

Turk tracked and bayed this giant axis buck on a hot July day in Sutton County.

This nice Tom Green County buck was tracked over 800 yards 24 hours after the shot and bayed.

Accustomed to tracking in hot dry and windy conditions, Turk recovered this nice buck for one happy hunter
